The House of Delegates (House) is a policy-making body comprised of voting delegates, alternate delegates, and consultants. The number of voting school delegates is determined each year based on school membership numbers.
The House meets annually each year, during which time delegates make decisions on issues that may have far-reaching implications for the association and for the profession of physical therapy. Business of the House follows Robert’s Rules and is conducted through the introduction of delegate-proposed motions.
The House begins with an opening ceremony and ends with a closing ceremony. Elections for state office will be held while the House is in session.
